APSC held the Combined Competitive Prelims Exam 2022 for selection to Assam Civil Services and Allied cadre post on 17th March 2023. A total of 74,368 number of candidates had applied for the Preliminary examination. On the basis of the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination, 32,962 number of candidates were selected by APSC to appear in the Mains Exam.

CC (Prelims) Exam consist of 2 papers consisting of 100 multiple choice questions each. Each Paper is of 200 marks. There is negative marking for wrong answers. Paper 1 is qualifying in nature (33% required to qualify) while marks obtained in Paper 2 is considered for selecting candidates for Mains exam.
For the information of the aspirants it is stated that APSC selects candidates 11 to 12 times the number of post to appear for the Mains Exam. APSC CCE 2022 exam was held for recruitment to 915 numbers of post.
